Owner Bill Eserini knew the path he would take in the automotive field. Growing up locally in South San Francisco, Bill worked with his father at their family owned gas station, learning about and developing a love for cars. After high school, he joined the team at FAR Performance in Mountain View, known mostly at the time for their specialization in Datsuns.
He started Eserini Automotive shortly after that and soon gained a reputation as an honest, hardworking and competitively priced automotive repair shop. Formerly located behind Wienerschnitzel off of El Camino in Santa Clara, in 1989 Eserini Auto moved to it’s current location on Robert Avenue.
Nowadays, sons Mat and Andrew work at the family business. Through automotive schooling at CCOC and the De Anza College Auto Tech Program, Mat specialized in Engine Performance, Electrical, Suspension and Steering. Andrew, head mechanic and ASE Master Tech certified, was chosen to receive the prestigious Al Unser scholarship to Universal Technical Institute (UTI) upon graduating from Santa Clara High. Scoring third in the nation, he received practical training at UTI Arizona which he is able to use on a daily basis.
Greg Sanchez, assistant tech, has received comprehensive training through the Sequoia Institute.
All mechanics are journeymen standard as well as ASE certified and they attend quarterly automotive classes to update their skills.
